Making Friends Overseas When Studying Abroad 👋

Updated: Jan 30

While we know this will be you with your friends before you leave...

... you will have the same troubles when you leave with all the new friends you've made!

And we're not just saying that ourselves, hear what Michelle from France has to say...

I met some of the BEST people on exchange who have become life-long friends. I have already caught up with some of them again and plan to go on future travels with them again. It was one of the saddest experiences to say goodbye, but I'm glad I met them and created life-long friends - I know I will see each one of them again"

When starting off everyone is in the same boat so don't forget to introduce yourself to other international students and organise a catch up with them. By extension make friends with the local students to get tips and tricks of campus life and of the city! Plus, it might help you pick up the language, if they don't speak your native tongue at your host country.
