Its definitely a good idea @jackdavis19 💡 While on exchange in France I went to Italy with an Italian friend who studied in France with me. I had the MOST delicious, traditional Italian dinner with her whole family. By the end of it I was was so full, finishing all the food on the plate but before I knew it her Nanna filled my plate again! I felt rude not to eat more but I physically couldn't 🥴 After my friend told me that if your plate is empty it looks like you're still hungry so Italians give you more - if you are full you leave a bit of food to indicate this. Knowing this before would have saved my stomach lots of problems 😂
